I was approached (via email) about the MKE area foosball league about setting up a "booth" at the frontier airlines center in downtown milwaukee. This would be for an event called Winter Fest. Here is the email I got from the event promoter... (sic)... This year will be our second year, it is held at the Frontier Airlines Center. We are expecting plus 20,000 attendees between Dec 26 through the 31st. We have hired a new marketing firm and working on the promotion end of Winter Fest. Our event includes carnival rides, inflatables, d├®cor elements for photo opportunities, Igloo Island for the tots, a roller skating rink and a new area this year which includes a sports zone. I have the STTC on board, a table tennis group from Shorewood, they are the largest in Wisconsin, they plan to do a variety of exhibits and demonstrations. As to your question, I just looked up Wisconsin foosball, and your name came up in regards to Milwaukee area, I am hoping to gather information from you as to how we can show off and promote the game of foosball. As far as what is expected, if you could inform me of where I may be able to acquire tables for demonstration purposes, exhibits and then for the public to participate, that would be very helpful. However, I didn't want to tell her "no" without offering this up to the rest of the state players. This might be beneficial for promoters, like Bullseye perhaps, to get some "free" marketing. Or, it would be a chance for us to promote our sport in general. I'm assuming they are looking for people to bring in a few tables and give lessons/demonstrations. If anyone is interested in learning more, please post here or contact me and I'll send you more info. If i hear no responses then I'll just decline the offer. |

I agree Bert. I would be willing to drive over on the Saturday if they needed an extra body there to help them out. Also if the MKE vendor does not want this I can bring this to Bullseye Mary's attention. I hope we can capitalize on this great opportunity. |

Wow how cool would that be!! I could maybe come hang out during the day for a while if you guys are having a hard time find help. |
